How do you arrive at Royal Ascot by helicopter?
Helicopter charter to Ascot is the simplest of the big-meeting bookings, because the racecourse has its own heliport.
You land at the racecourse heliport, which can be used throughout the year subject to permission and runs a full service on the five days of Royal Ascot. Landing slots are booked through the heliport's slot portal, and we arrange the slot with your booking. At Royal Ascot the slots are allocated early, so the earlier you ask the better your choice of arrival time.
On the days themselves the heliport has a terminal with a champagne bar and courtesy cars for transfers into the racecourse, and handles around 400 movements across the week. After racing you reverse the journey. Because the heliport is shared with hundreds of other flights, departure times are agreed in advance and we build in a little slack.
For a step-by-step account of arrival day, dress and timings, read our Royal Ascot by helicopter arrival guide, and see our Ascot page at Charter-A for the wider Ascot offer.

Which day of Royal Ascot?
Each day has its own card, and the day you choose affects slot availability, so ask us which are still open.
- Tuesday 15 June: opening day of the meeting.
- Wednesday 16 June: the second day of five.
- Thursday 17 June: Gold Cup day, which hospitality sellers also list as Ladies' Day.
- Friday 18 June: the fourth day.
- Saturday 19 June: the closing day, which suits groups who combine racing with a weekend away.
Royal Ascot rules on dress are set by the racecourse, and our guide covers what to bring. For our advice on when to arrive, aim for the heliport well before the first race, which gives time for the transfer and lunch.

Booking Royal Ascot: what we need
Please give us the day, the number of guests and the departure site as early as you can. Weights for every passenger are needed, bags should be soft, and everyone arrives 10 minutes before take-off.
We can also collect from a private garden or estate if it is suitable, subject to landing permission and site suitability, and we can fly shuttles between sites in the Ascot area if you want to move guests between hospitality locations. Royal Ascot is one of our busiest weeks, so we lose some availability for other work; see helicopter charter London for other flights that week. Our team monitors your flight through the day.
If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, you pay nothing. Prices depend on the date, the aircraft and the route, so use the quote form and the helicopter hire price guides. Other racing events are on the horse racing by helicopter page, and the events hub shows the full calendar.
