The short answer
The Sikorsky S-76 is a twin-engine executive helicopter in our fleet. The number of seats depends on the layout of the aircraft available on your date, so ask us. It suits executive groups who prefer the type, and it is an alternative to the AW139 and H145 D3. We confirm seats, weights and landing site before proposing it.

Who is the S-76 for?
Sikorsky S-76 helicopter charter is for executive groups who know the type and like it, and for trips where the AW139 or H145 D3 is not free on your date and a comparable twin is. It is a well-established executive helicopter, and clients who have flown in one before often ask for it by name. We offer it when an aircraft is available, and we tell you plainly what seating and luggage space that aircraft has, because layouts vary from one S-76 to the next.
Because the cabin layout varies, we do not quote a fixed seat count here. Ask us and we will tell you what is on offer for your date. For a fixed eight seats, see the AW139 or the H145 D3.
What can it do: twin-engine, over water and at night?
The S-76 is a twin-engine helicopter, so like the rest of our fleet it can keep flying if one engine fails and is widely approved for flights over towns and open water. Night and instrument flight depend on the individual aircraft, the crew and the landing site, and we confirm these before you book. Weather decides in the end. If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, you pay nothing.

How do we choose between the S-76 and the other aircraft?
We look at the same things for every type: passengers and weights, bags, route, landing site and position. The S-76 is one candidate among five. If you want the largest cabin we suggest the AW139; for a roomy, dependable aircraft for a bigger group, the H145 D3. For speed and refinement on a client trip, the Agusta 109 Grand, and for a small team with bags, the AS355 Twin Squirrel. Our fleet comparison sets all five side by side.
Use the UK helicopter routes pages for typical timings; we plan every type on the same standard figure and confirm the final time with your quote.

Where can it land?
As a mid-to-large twin, it uses airfields, business airports, city heliports and event helipads. Private sites such as hotel lawns or country houses depend on size and surface, and are always subject to landing permission and site suitability. See the UK heliports and airfields directory, and the pages for Farnborough and Biggin Hill for examples of large-aircraft sites.
How do you ask for the S-76?
Ask for it by name in the quote form, or call the 24-hour line. Give us the date, the route, the number of passengers and an idea of bags. We will confirm whether an S-76 is free, what seating it has and what the alternatives are. For ground transport at either end, Executive Global Travel can arrange a car to meet you.
