Helicopter figures are typical block times: distance at 135 knots plus 8 minutes, shown as a range. Road figures are free-flowing road times, a floor that real journeys rarely beat. Distances are in a straight line. Figures from our UK route data, checked 29 Sep 2026.
Customs, immigration and the General Declaration
Jersey is a Crown Dependency, and flights to or from the UK are handled as arrivals and departures with their own formalities. For arrivals, a General Declaration is filed before landing for Jersey Immigration, Customs and Police. We prepare it from the passenger details you give us, which is why we ask for names, dates of birth and passport information well ahead.
Bring photo identification for every passenger. Details change, so we confirm the current requirements at quote stage rather than rely on a general rule.

- Jersey to Goodwood: about 55 to 65 minutes.
- Jersey to Bristol: about 60 to 75 minutes.
- Jersey to Gatwick: about 65 to 80 minutes.
- Jersey to Heathrow or central London: about 70 to 85 minutes.

Why people charter to and from Jersey
For helicopter charter Jersey clients, the island has an established finance and professional-services sector in St Helier, and clients commonly need to reach London, Southampton or a country-house meeting in a day. Estates and hospitality businesses on the island host corporate groups. Our business helicopter charter page explains how a day trip is planned, and same-day business trips covers timing.

Booking a Jersey helicopter
Tell us the date, passengers, weights and exact pick-up and drop-off, plus whether you bring luggage. We confirm the airport hours, the declaration and the aircraft, then give you one quote. Arrive 10 minutes before departure; luggage in soft bags where the hold is small. Landing at an estate or private house is subject to landing permission and site suitability. If the flight is cancelled because of the weather, you pay nothing.
