The short answer
Villa Park has no helicopter landing site, so for Aston Villa home games we fly you to Birmingham Airport, where business-aviation terminals sit apart from the main passenger building, or to a Midlands airfield such as Wolverhampton Halfpenny Green, and arrange a car for the last stretch. London to Birmingham takes about 40 to 50 minutes by helicopter.

Where do you land for Villa Park?
Villa Park is a built-up site in Aston, north of Birmingham city centre, and there is no helicopter landing site we can offer at the ground. Our first choice is Birmingham Airport, which is open 24 hours with customs on site. Both business-aviation terminals sit apart from the main passenger terminal with direct ramp access and private screening, so your party does not walk through a departures hall.
The airport needs prior permission, ground handling is mandatory for every visiting aircraft and slots are cleared with the airport co-ordinator, so we book the terminal early. Charter-A Helicopter is the helicopter charter service of Charter-A Ltd, which has arranged private flights across the UK and Europe since 2011. For helicopter charter Aston Villa clients we do the booking and send a chauffeur car to meet you. See helicopter charter Birmingham for the site facts.
Are there other airfields in the Midlands that work?
Yes. Wolverhampton Halfpenny Green is 19.1 nautical miles from Birmingham Airport, with published hours of 09:00 to 18:00 in summer and 09:00 to 17:00 in winter, plus winter night flying on Thursdays until 21:00. It is a prior-permission field with a 1,005 metre runway; see helicopter charter Wolverhampton. Wellesbourne Mountford, near Stratford-upon-Avon, is 16.6 nautical miles away and opens 09:00 to 17:00; see Stratford-upon-Avon.
These smaller fields suit afternoon games for parties on the west side of the Midlands, or as a plan B. They close earlier than Birmingham Airport, so for evening kick-offs we favour the airport.

How long does it take to reach Villa Park by helicopter?
London to Birmingham takes about 40 to 50 minutes by helicopter and around 2 hours 25 minutes by road; see our London to Birmingham route. Manchester Airport to Birmingham takes about 30 to 35 minutes against around 1 hour 47 minutes by road, and Liverpool to Birmingham about 35 to 40 minutes against around 2 hours 7 minutes; see Liverpool to Birmingham and Birmingham to Manchester. These are times to the airport. A car for the last leg adds match-day traffic time, which we allow for.
A typical hospitality day: depart London late morning, land at Birmingham Airport, car to a lunch near the ground and take your seats. Arrive 10 minutes before take-off, give us a weight for every passenger and use soft bags. Fixture dates are set by the league and broadcasters, so check the club for dates.
Can we land closer, at a hotel or golf club?
The previous version of this page named Edgbaston Golf Club, about 3.6 miles from the ground, and New Hall Country House Hotel in Sutton Coldfield, about 4.4 miles away. Those are private sites. Landing at any of them is subject to landing permission and site suitability, and the owner decides. We can ask on your behalf, and we tell you straight if the answer is no.
For the car leg we work with Executive Global Travel. For related grounds and events, see football by helicopter, Manchester City and the Midlands region. The price guides explain what drives a quote.
